Business Communications in Peru

Conducting business in unfamiliar countries offers many challenges involving language, legalities, business practices, security, etc.

However, Steve Taylor and Lisa Sierra, founders of Globetrotter Imports, have overcome these obstacles and conducted business in China, Peru, Morocco, Spain, Portugal and Mexico.

They have many interesting stories. For example. they bought items from a craftsman in Cuzco who operated out of a shack. To procure his crafts, they needed to negotiate with a customs broker who spoke only Quechua/Spanish. Steve made the deal using an online translation service.
